Moving Forward...Towards Christ!

A single uneven step of a stairway can cause us to stumble. If left unattended it can cause us to fall. If there is no consistency in the height of the steps, there is a risk of tripping, and chances are the person may even get injured! Even if the discrepancy is as small as a few inches, there is still a risk of tripping.

Similarly, leaving our sin unattended will cause us to stumble time and time again, and would lead to a serious injury. However small sin may seem, let’s remember that everything always starts small. As the little drops of water, make a mighty ocean, a small sin paves way to a big sin.

One may think sin brings happiness, but it's only temporary at best and the end is always worse than what we had imagined. Sin can destroy a beautiful life on earth. Who would want such destruction in their life? The little disconnection slowly builds a complete detachment from God. The life thereafter is not going to be beautiful but one that is miserable, intolerable, and horrible. One may wonder if it is even possible to get out of this mess, from under this big mountain that seems to be choking our lives? The answer is Yes!

Jesus is our Savior! Jesus is the Way!

Jesus is the Solution!

Jesus is our Redeemer!

Let’s be open to the Holy Spirit when convicted of sin. As long as we are willing to change, be willing to put our past behind us and move forward ... towards Jesus. He will draw near to us! He has already paid a ransom for our sin - all of it. All we need to do is Acknowledge, Accept and Alter our ways. Acknowledging is recognizing the truth that is in Christ Jesus and accepting the truth is the key. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Let us make way for the King of kings, the Lord of lords and have HIS life flow in us by allowing HIM, 'the Only truth' into our lives!

As believers let’s not take our salvation for granted. Repent for the Lord is patient: 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT) The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

And live like Christ

Ephesians 4:22-32 (NLT) 22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbours the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. 28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. 30 And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
