This Healing belongs to me, because ...

What other time is better to talk about Healing than on Good Friday! A Good day, without which there is no redemption of sins. The day Jesus paid for all the sins of humanity and redeemed us from the curse of the law, sickness decease and death.

All of us who are Christians or born again believers know that our God heals. We know that because somewhere in our life we have seen, witnessed or experienced his healing in one way or the other. But, were there times when you didn’t get your healing when you wanted and you perhaps you wondered or thought

“May be it’s not Gods will” Or

“May be God is teaching me something” Or

“My Faith wasn't strong or big enough” Or

“If God allowed this sickness so it might be His will”

Let’s look at these very prominent verses on healing we all know from the word of God.

Isaiah 53:5

And by His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24

by whose stripes you were healed

Do you notice the difference between these versus? First verse is from Isaiah, which is in the Old Testament and the next verse is from 1 Peter, an epistle in the New Testament. Well, both are from the Bible and both talk concerning healing but observe these verses as it applies to New covenant believers:

Isaiah says that “And by His stripes we ARE healed and

1 Peter 2:24 says “ by whose stripes you WERE healed

In between these two verses is where the Lord Jesus has Paid in Full for our sins.. bringing us salvation and a New covenant. So under the New covenant, all believers are Healed. It’s Past tense and it’s a done deal. So, why don’t I see healing manifest every time?

There are many reasons from the flesh/soul side that HINDERS healing but it can never stop what Jesus already Paid for! Jesus has done his part of paying in full for our healing- It’s our job to simply receive it in Faith!

1.Un Forgiveness - And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25

2.Doubt - “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind” James 1:6

3.Anger/Sin - “In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold” Ephesians 4:26

These are a few hindrances the enemy tries to operate in the flesh and in turn we may not get the healing that Jesus already paid for.

Now let’s look at what God says about healing!

1. “He sent out his word and healed them;

he rescued them from the grave “

Psalm 107:20

2. On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”

Matthew 9:12

3. Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Mark 10:52

4. “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Mark 9:23

5. Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them all Matthew 15:30

6. Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security Jeremiah 33:6

7. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven James 5:15

8. “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” Luke 10:19

9. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10

These are just a few verses of God telling us that His will is always healing and it’s a free gift from God because of Jesus’ sacrifice, irrespective of how you became sick.. It’s the enemy that comes to Kill, but Jesus came to give us LIFE in abundance. He is a LIFE giver, and along with His will, we have the authority over every sickness and decease caused by the enemy !! Command it in Jesus Name and it will leave!

Now, If you are still waiting for your healing just check and see if there are any hindrances in the flesh and repent and He is Gracious to forgive. Now believe with all of our heart and say “ This Healing belongs to me because of what Jesus paid on the Cross “ Its that simple!!
